Kevin McCaffrey, VP John Zirpoli and Trustee Jasper Brown celebrate with
UPS Freight members from Newburgh at the recent ratification of their
first contract.
At
our General membership Meeting on April 28th, President McCaffrey welcomes
our newest members from UPS Freight and other jobs to their first Local
707 meeting.

listed below are important, and could save you money and a lot of unnecessary
problems.
Follow these guidelines and of course if you have any questions, please

WITHDRAWAL
CARDS
When a member becomes unemployed or quits his/her job within local
707's jurisdiction, the member should obtain a withdrawal card. A withdrawal
card will freeze your membership. It will maintain your good standing
status.
You will not be responsible for paying dues each month while out on a
withdrawal card. A withdrawal form is printed in each newsletter or you
can obtain one by calling the local. Remember no one can get a withdrawal
card for you.
TRANSFER CARDS
When a member finds employment in the jurisdiction of another local,
that local should request a transfer card from local 707. Only a member
in good standing can obtain a transfer card. The members dues must be
paid in full in the month the request for transfer is made.
COMPENSATION AND DISABILITY
When you are not working because you are on compensation or disability,
be sure to notify the fund office.

Change
of Address
February 12,
2001
Please, when
you have a change of address it is necessary to change it with both the
Local Union and the Health and Welfare Funds. Check your dues receipt
to be sure the Local has your correct address.
